Terms of Service

By using Murmur you agree to these terms. Murmur is a tool for personal language learning on top of content you already have legitimate access to. We do not grant you any rights to the underlying YouTube videos, podcasts, or other media.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Murmur to bypass copy-protection, scrape platforms beyond their public APIs, or download media in violation of platform terms.
• Do not redistribute translations or transcripts as if they were your original work.
• Do not abuse fair-use limits through scripting or automation. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that systematically exceed reasonable individual use.
• Respect copyright. You are responsible for ensuring your viewing complies with local law.

Pro Pass purchases

Pro Pass is a one-time purchase of a fixed access window. It does not auto-renew. Buying additional Passes extends Pro by stacking access windows, up to a 365-day active total. If you try to buy a Pass that would push your active total beyond 365 days, checkout is blocked until earlier days are consumed.

Refunds

We do not provide automatic change-of-mind refunds. Within 3 days of your first purchase, if usage is low and there is no abuse, you can email [email protected]for a manual review. Refund decisions are at Murmur's discretion based on usage and risk signals.

Tax and invoices

Stripe sends a hosted payment receipt after checkout. While we are not GST / VAT-registered, we do not advertise our receipts as tax invoices. Once tax registration takes effect we will update this section and the receipts Stripe issues on our behalf.

What happens when a Pass expires

When your active Pro window ends, your account returns to the Free plan. Everything you saved during Pro stays readable and deletable. New items you try to add will be subject to Free limits (10 videos, 50 sentences, 50 words) until you buy another Pass.

Liability

Murmur is provided as is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior 12 months.
